Programs that make food accessible.

Our Power of Produce (POP) Club program is part of a national movement dedicated to empowering children ages 5 through 12 to make healthy food choices through programming at farmers markets.

At our POP Club booth, children weekly get a $6 POP Club Bucks for fresh fruits and vegetables and food producing plants at the market.  There are also weekly activities, such as Two Bite Club to taste test  various fruits and vegetables.

We participate in numerous Food Assistance Programs to have fresh local foods accessible to all.
  • We accept SNAP as well as credit/debit at our market.
  • We also participate in Fair Food Network's Double Up Food Bucks program that doubles what a SNAP recipient can spend at a farmers market, up to $50 per day, for fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • We accept WIC Produce Connection and Senior Project Fresh as well.

Established in 2007, we are organized and run by Friends of Lincoln Park Farmers Market,

a Michigan nonprofit 501c3 organization founded in 2012.
