LINCOLN PARK FARMERS MARKET
2021 Market Season
Details TBD
MAY 11, 2020 Changes due to COVID - 19
Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDARD) has determined that farmers markets are an essential service and can be open with safety precautions in place. Due to COVID-19, it will require more volunteers to ensure safety at our markets. We do not have enough volunteers for a weekly market. It pains us to have to reduce our markets because so many in our community have a need for fresh local produce, local specialty foods and the food assistance programs. Would you volunteer HERE? COVID-19 also popped up in the middle of our fundraising and recruiting of sponsors. Fortunately, we raised enough to cover our insurance costs and other costs. However, we will need to get aggressive for funding for our three market days. There are equipment and supplies that we now need to purchase due to COVID-19. |
